Wow! How time flies.

September 3rd, 2010

Can’t believe it’s been two years scene the last post . Ya’ll have been keeping us so busy there really hasn’t be much computer time. Lots to tell you. Lots to be thankful for. Where to start. Our newly expanded commercial kitchen. Much easier to stage out of. Next is a plan to develop another area of our building that will allow us to book your parties right here, for up to sixty people. That, by the way, is as close to a restaurant as we intend to get for the foreseeable future. We really enjoy catering. We get to be a part of some very special days. One most recent was the reception for the 1st-116th National Guard units return from Iraq. Got to see everyone returned home. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Then there’s the “UNDISCOVERED PAULA DEEN” write up in the Smith Mountain Lake paper about the talents of Kay and about  ToGo’s Catering Services. Very flattering. Maybe not for Paula Deen but for Kay it was.Which by the way she will be at the Salem Civic Center soon. No not Kay. Paula. Go check her out. She’s a hoot, bless her heart.

Then another big THANK YOU to all for the “Readers Choice Gold Award 2010” for best caterer. If ya’ll hadn’t of opened your big mouths it would have never happened( I mean that in the nicest way). And our calender continues to fill up with weddings(I love weddings), anniversaries, sweet 16 parties(they are a blast) Lets not forget family reunions. Oh what we get to find out about the things you’ve done. And we’re really looking forward to making a very special cake copied from the story “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” for The Little Town Players theater group.

There’s more to share but other work calls out to me. I will do my best to return soon. In the meantime, if we can assist you with planning an upcoming event please contact Kay or myself. I’m the handsome guy standing next to the knockout  in the picture. Till next time.

Laugh out loud! It’s not good to hold it in.   p.s. People say I need to be more serious about what we do. O.K. this is for youz guyz. We seriously love servicing people and we seriously love our life. Hows that? O.K  Bye.

“There’s not enough time”

August 6th, 2008

It’s 9:42 Tuesday morning and the boss just gave you the latest count for Thursdays lunch meeting and it’s gone from 12 to 47!!! AND she wants it to start at 9 a.m. so that means coffee for everyone, plus she wants bottled water available and the cold drinks and box lunches set out by 11:30 a.m. Oh yes, YOU must be present at the meeting too. What restaurant is going to be able to prepare, set up and clean up so you don’t have to think about anything but whats going on in that meeting? They say they cater but the last time you ate there they couldn’t even get your order out on time.

Webster defines cater as ” to provide what is desired or required “. At ToGo’s Catering Services that’s exactly what we do. Hey, it’s our middle name. So don’t sweat the little stuff, pick up the phone and call 540-556-3388. The boss will know you’re a genius, heck she might even give you Friday off.
